Glamorous. Luxurious. Colorful. Those were the three words that drove KWD’s creative approach to a pied-à-terre redesign at the St. Regis Residences. The homeowner, a force and fixture in the local community and Silicon Valley, only had two other requirements: that it would function well and reflect her penchant for fun and savoring all the city has to offer.

Opening the kitchen and dining room allowed in natural light and made way for the owner’s impressive art collection, a luxe mix of materials like thick marble and onyx, and custom everything from the curved sofa in the living room to the area rugs, wallcoverings, powder room mural and Venetian plaster wall finishes. Even the light fixtures and powder room mirror are special and present more like sculptures mounted on the ceiling or walls. Each piece of furniture is more of a statement piece than the last, and floor-to-ceiling windows afford views of the city that make the biggest statement of all.
